Beam Sensor: A Short Introduction

Beam Sensor:

Beam sensor is a device used to discover the distance, presence and absence of an object with the help of infrared technology and a photo-electric Receiver. It is useful to detect the unauthorized access to a secure door. If someone tries to damage the beam sensor then it triggers the alarm.
Beam Sensor requires only power source. The Sensor performs its own modulation, Demodulation, output switching & amplification. With the time changes the technology increases up-to a great extent the size of beam sensor or photoelectric sensor is very small. In Some models of beam sensor there was a built in option of timer. It contains only optical component of sensor. The other components are located elsewhere.

Components:

It has two components a receiver and a transmitter. The placement of the receiver is placed parallel to the transmitter. So that, it would be easy to transmit the signal. In this way, the person or the object is detected if the receiver won’t receive the signal from the transmitter.
Advantages of having BeamSensor:

1.    Accuracy:
The Beam Sensor is most accurate and its precision is very good. Whenever some person or object come its range it immediately sends the signal to other component such as Hooter.

2.    Range:
It has the longest sensing Range. It sense the object from a long distance. It is also calculate by the maximum distance sensor can retrieve information, minus the minimum Distance.

3.    Reliable:
It is very reliable and accurate.
